With Covid-19 shaking up our world this year is like no other and starting a new school year has risks we've never seen before! Here are my personal tips as an educator with over 25 years of experience.
Take a deep breath and relax. We're all in the same predicament. Focus on your families mental health first.
Pray
Limit your social media exposure and make sure your information comes from credible sources. You wouldn't let your friend from high school operate on you unless they were a surgeon so don't base your knowledge on their opinions. Seek credible sources.
Comparison is the killer of joy. Don't compare your child or family situation to others. Base your decisions on what is best for your child.
Inspire-Encourage your child to think about how they can help others at this time when the world is in need of inspiration. Considering how to help others puts you in a better mindset.
Consider what has worked for you this year and commit to keeping it and let go of that which didn't work.
